USEFUL NEWSLETTERS, RELATED SOURCES, AND THEIR INTERNET WEB SITES ABOUT AQUATIC ANIMAL HEALTH
The discipline of aquatic animal health is highly active with numerous Internet sources for receiving and exchanging information. The following Internet web sites should be of interest to experts as well as non-professionals in fish/aquatic animal health in aquaculture and aquarium and ornamental pondkeeping. All of these sources are listed because they meet the criteria of being in English, having worthwhile information on fish health, and being in various ways available on or through Internet web sites. Many of them provide postings of their publications on their sites, and some as well have e-mailings. The various sources are listed under the following categories:
* Part One - Resource Bases Including Aquatic Animal Health
* Part Two - Checklist of e-News Mailings in Aquatic Animal Health
* Part Three - Independent Publishers with Internet sites / e-communications
* Part Four - U.S. Organizations with Internet sites / e-communications

One thing to keep in mind in using the following information is that there are numerous gaps in coverage, because what is provided is based on what can be found by searching on the Internet. Those centers and sources in aquatic animal health not included are because they did not show up in the various searches made on Google, Yahoo, and elsewhere, under such search terms as "fish health," "aquatic animal health,"" fish diseases" and various other combinations with "news/newsletters," etc. Some of the items included did not come from our searches, but were known from other sources. The information is current as of Feb. 10, 2007. See bottom of this article as to how to inform us of what is missing, needing changes, or whatever.
Please note that information in quotes under the individual listings is directly from the web sites cited. Information in brackets is from Robert Rofen, PhD, the preparer of this article. For further information, the user should go directly to the web sites for text and illustrations.
