This set of two brushes has one for general cleaning of filters, and one small enough to be effective when cleaning narrower tubes. Bottle brush style is the correct bristle type for most aquarium equipment. Secured with a metal ring at the handle's end, set may be separated if desired

All aquarium filters need to be kept clean of not only any algae growth, but also of sediment or "sludge" that may be caused by debris that has already been successfully filtered. Brushes may be used with Kordon's AC-8 Aquarium Cleanser or disinfectants such as a 1 part bleach to 10 parts water mixture. These brushes are also very handy for cleaning aquarium decorations and plastic plants. Contain non-toxic bristles - will not leave residue. Wash and rinse brushes themselves following use. Set of two brushes is connected by a sturdy metal ring, however brushes are easily separated to be used individually.
